William Butler Yeats was born in Dublin on the 13th of June 1865. He spent Childhood holidays in County Sligo and had a great interest in Irish Celtic Folklore and his early works featured mysticism and the occult. In 1899, Yeats, Lady Gregory, Edward Martyn and George Moore began the Irish Literary Theatre to promote Irish and Celtic plays. In 1904 he was instrumental in founding the Abbey Theatre and remained involved with it until his death in 1939. In 1922 he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature for his inspired poetry. He was at this time also appointed as a senator for the Irish Free State.

The Wild Atlantic Way is the World's longest coastal driving route. It stretches from County Donegal in the north all along the wild and rugged west coast of Ireland to County Cork in the south. Taking in seven Irish counties the route offers spectacular views of the Irish Atlantic coast taking in many of the unique features of Ireland such as the magnificent Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, colourful and vibrant towns, traditional Irish Pubs and many other fantastic attractions.
This beautifully produced calendar features the work of celebrated Irish landscape photographer Liam Blake. Liam travels the length and breadth of the country throughout the year in order to capture images of the wild and wonderful landscapes of Ireland.
The calendar has been produced utilising a fine art printing process which renders the images in a much higher resolution more akin to a photographic print.
There is a location map which shows where the photographs were taken and the calendarium also shows the phases of the moon.
